Overview
Saribung Peak Climbing has introduced peak expeditions in the mid-western region of Nepal. The Saribung peak lies in the remote part of Mustang in the vicinity of Damodar Himal. It is an ideal expedition that includes exploration of Upper Jomsom, Mustang, Nar Phu valley, and Hidden Valley. During the Saribung Peak Trek, we will pass through several villages and it offers the opportunity to experience the diverse and fascinating cultures.
Very few climbers have managed to conquer the summit of Saribung Peak. Saribung Peak is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to gain climbing experience as well as explore the less beaten region of Nepal. The ascent to the summit of Saribung Trekking is additionally thought of a rather straightforward peak ascension with relatively less technical sections.
During this trek, the summit rewards us with magnificent views of Mountains like Nilgiri Himal, Himlung Himal, Lamjung Himal, Mt Manaslu, and Annapurna II. The best time to go for this trek is from March to May and September to November. Since the trail is challenging and has slippery ice, one needs to be physically and mentally fit to go this trek.
Saribung Peak Climbing Cost and Itinerary
After landing at the airstrip of Jomsom, we will start our trek following the trail that heads north towards Kagbeni. Our trail passes through diverse landscapes with several villages and ancient gompas and it heads towards Lo Manthang. After spending a full day sightseeing at Lo Manthang, we continue our trek passing through villages of Yara and Ghuma Thanthi. And it also heads towards Saribung Base Camp.
Saribung is an easy peak for mountaineering and expedition but there are certain passes with ice and creases in between the trail which makes the journey difficult. Trekkers will also get an opportunity to experience the typical Nepalese culture and traditions.
Zigzag Hilly Road to Kathmandu
Fully equipped with necessary climbing gears and adequately acclimatized, we will follow the footsteps and guidance of experienced Sherpa climbing guides. Taking weather conditions into consideration, we will tackle several technical climbing sections and head towards Saribung peak summit. Once at the top, we can feel the breathtaking views of valleys and high peaks including Himlung, Gyajikang and Bhrikuti. We will spend a short time at the summit and gradually descend following the same route.
From the summit base camp, we follow the trail that goes along Nar Phu Valley. For our return journey, we trek passing through villages of Koto, Dharapani, and Jagat to arrive at Bhulbhule finally. Our incredible experience of Saribung Peak Climbing ends with a scenic drive from Bhulbhule over the hilly zigzag road to eventually reach back to Kathmandu.
During our Saribung Peak Mountaineering tour, we follow the trail that connects Upper Mustang Lo Manthang Trek.
